Trust & Transparency
Editorial Policy
RailTrack24 publishes independent informational content and decision tools to help passengers understand railway terms and plan responsibly.
1) What we publish
- Explainers: WL/RAC/CNF meanings, quota types, Tatkal, chart timing, refund basics.
- Decision tools: structured guidance (not guarantees) to help users make safer choices.
- Checklists: what to verify before travel using official portals.
2) Accuracy & verification
Railway rules and processes can change. We aim to keep content updated, but users should always verify the latest rules on official sources before acting (booking, cancellation, refunds, policy decisions).
- We prefer official portals/notifications whenever possible.
- We avoid “guarantees” and do not claim official authority.
- Where there is uncertainty, we state it clearly and recommend verification.
3) Updates & maintenance
We periodically review pages for clarity, outdated statements, broken links, and user confusion points. Major updates may include a refreshed “Last updated” date.
- Broken official links may be replaced with updated official equivalents.
- We improve readability, structure, and internal linking as the site grows.
- Tools may be improved as models/heuristics evolve.
4) Tool disclaimers (important)
Our tools provide educational guidance based on user inputs and common patterns. They do not fetch live data, do not access IRCTC accounts, and do not guarantee outcomes.
5) Corrections
If you find an issue (broken link, outdated rule reference, unclear wording), please contact us via the Contact page. We’ll review and update where appropriate.
